Panel of Experts

Professor David Bader
Professor David Bader is currently a psychology professor at Endicott College, Beverly, Massachusetts. He graduated from Salem State College with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Marriage and Family Counseling. His primary area of expertise is working with developmental issues pertaining to grade school children whose social and or psychological skills lag behind the behavioral and academic levels of their peers. He also focuses on adolescents who demonstrate an inorganic failure to thrive psychologically and/or socially due to less than optimal parenting. Although he has experience in teaching a wide range of courses in psychology, his main focus remains on developmental issues, be they physiological, cognitive, emotional or psychological. He has also authored Apocalypse Whispered (2004) and It’s Not Your Fault, the end of guilt (2008).



Dr Martha Pott
Dr Martha Pott is a professor at Tufts Univeristy, Medford Massachusetts. She lectures at the well known Elliot Pearson Child Development Department. The Elliot Pearson Department is one of the top child development departments globally and is one of the founders of the multiple intelligences program in children. One of her areas of expertise is looking at personal, social and emotional development in children. She has also conducted a research project on Antisocial and Prosocial Behavior in Children. She is also an expert in developmental psychology. 



Director/ Principal Consultant

Michele Sagan
Michele Sagan graduated with a BSc and MSc from the London School of Economics in the UK where she studied and researched the management of public institutions and the successful implementation of curriculum. She spent many years in the UK working in investment banking prior to returning to Malaysia to pursue her passion of working with children. Michele has also consulted, trained and conducted workshops for top management on topics such as leadership and understanding brain dominances. She has also written papers and articles on early childhood development for various magazines and is certified as a 6 seconds Emotional Intelligence Trainer.



Clinical Psychologist

Adlin Abdul Hamid
Adlin Abdul Hamid graduated from Upper Iowa University (US) with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology. She then completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She underwent training at the Psychiatric Department, Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Adlin was previously attached to a private hospital in Petaling Jaya, and was also a committee member for the Adult Weight Management Program and Stroke Rehabilitation Program run by the hospital. She is currently a working committee member of Aceh Pro-Poor Capacity Development Programme.



Psychology Consultant/Counselor

Ranita Rajandram

Ranita Rajandram holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Endicott College, a Masters in Child Development (concentration in Family Studies) from Elliot Pearson – Child Development Dept at Tufts University, MA and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Science from Boston University, MA. She is a member of the National Psychology Honors Society. She was also the recipient of the Psychology Award and the one of five students to receive the prestigious Presidents Award (awarded to the students who are in the top 10% of the graduating class  in terms of academic and extra curricula work) during her undergraduate degree. Over the eight years spent in Boston, she has worked with children and adolescents in many different settings; from preschool children to high school teenagers. As a Resident Assistant for three years, she has worked with college students in the areas of counseling, confrontational skills, mentoring and running various programs. She was attached with “Stay in Shape” an educational workshop run by Massachusetts General Hospital for high school girls, where she conducted sessions on Sleeping Well, Body Image, Stress, Conflict Management Emotional intelligence and Social Skills. Ranita has also been involved with a research project that looked at Prosocial and Antisocial behaviors in young children and has written a master thesis paper on Body Image in Adolescent girls. Her interests lie in the area of counseling and conducting workshops for the adolescent group on various social and emotional issues.



Education Consultant/Counselor

Victoria Liza Petrus

Victoria Liza Petrus is currently an Educational Consultant in InsightKIDs. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Science Education (Hons) majoring in Biology and Chemistry and a Masters in Science Education with Information Communication Technology from University of Malaya. Victoria has been involved in science education since 2001. During her period of study, she has produced a thesis entitled “Use of Technology Among Form Four Science Teacher” and two unpublished articles namely “Development and Evaluation of a Web-based Lesson in Form Four Biology” and “Cell Division Website: A Web-based Lesson to Enhance Understanding of Cell Division”. She has been teaching Science, Biology and Chemistry in schools and has trained pre-service teachers designing instructional activities. Her special interests include cognitive psychology, programme evaluation and assessment, instructional technology, problem solving, critical thinking and the development of instructional materials that actively involve children in the exploration of scientific ideas.



Patmawati Latif

Patmawati Latif received her Diploma in Learning Disorders Management & Child Psychology from the School of Linguistics, Singapore. She previously worked as an Instructor and Special Education teacher. She taught children with learning disabilities associated with dyslexia, and children with autism/Asperger’s syndrome. She currently advises InsightKIDs on the curriculum and therapy for Learning Disorders.



Nalini Flood

Nalini Flood has a Degree in Primary School Education, Advancing in Early Years Education. She has 3½ years work experience during college and university and her total experience including working up to present date consists of about 5½ years in various pre-schools and childcare centres in the UK. She currently advises InsightKIDs on early childhood development.



Teaching Consultants

Nameeta Rajwani
Nameeta Rajwani has a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Hons.) degree from HELP University-College. She was the Secretary of the inaugural B. Psych. Student Council, and helped to organize many events aimed at promoting fellowship among psychology students and the faculty. Her undergraduate thesis concerned Eyewitness Memory, and courses she particularly enjoyed included Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology as well as Biopsychology. She received the University of Queensland Award of Excellence 2007-2008 and HELP University College Scholarship Awards from 2004 to 2008. Nameeta also interned at World Vision Malaysia, a relief organization that organizes the annual 30-Hour Famine. She was exposed to volunteerism from a very young age and participated in many activities organized by the Interact Club at her school and also by the Soroptimist Club of Kuala Lumpur.



Stephanie Kumar
Stephanie Kumar has many years of teaching experience internationally. She worked for six years in Gymboree in Singapore, Malaysia and London. She was a Teacher Trainer for its different programs. She also has experience in Jolly Phonics, the award winning reading program from the UK as well as the Victoria Readers reading program. She was also a teacher trainer whilst attached to both organizations. She has also emceed for Walt Disney Australia and managed various events for children.



Harveen Sagoo
Harveen Sagoo has a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) degree from HELP University-College. She was one of the founding members of the Clinical Psych Interest Club and published many newsletters. She has a strong passion for child psychology and loves to work with children. Her interests lie with organization industrial psychology and biopsychology. She completed her thesis on Parental Perception on Bullying Behaviour in Schools which has been used in several government schools in Malaysia.



Ravinder Shadaan

Ravinder Shadaan graduated from the Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She has six years working experience with children and has taught children ages 2 to 12 years old. Her trainings includes phonetics, child management, developmental psychology, learning difficulties, arts and craft for children as well as early childhood education. She has also attended training in literacy (writing and reading skills), and has worked with special needs children. She believes in interactive and hands-on learning experiences to stimulate a child’s growth and freedom in gaining mastery of his or her world.



Priscilla Logie

Priscilla Logie is known mostly by students, parents and colleagues as Teacher BB. She was trained to conduct classes specifically aimed at developing children’s individual potentials through various thinking and learning methods employed by the customized holistic development plan at InsightKIDs. To better understand children, she underwent “Process Communication Model (PCM)” training provided by the centre, in which she learned how different individuals communicate depending on their personality types and how best to relate them according to these differences. She attended “The Motivation Breakthrough” training in which she learned the “6 Secrets to Turning On the Tuned-Out Child” to implement appropriate and effective motivational techniques on different personality types. She also attended Jolly Phonics Training as it is important for the younger children to learn phonics given the appropriate methods and materials. Throughout her experience with InsightKIDs, she has been a significant contribution as a creative facilitator in developing the fast-track curriculum. Her passion and enthusiasm has inspired many students and parents.



Aliaa Azura

Aliaa Azura has a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons.) degree from University of Wales, Bangor. She was the Vice President of Malaysian Society, Bangor and helped organise events aimed at promoting Malaysia among university students. She also was a member of Bangor Psychology Society (BAPS) and participated in many events such as Serendipity Week and other charity events. Her undergraduate thesis was on the Development of Attention Blink. She has strong passion for abnormal psychology and child psychology. She also loves working with children.
